1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how RadarCopter ("we," "us," or "the app") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our iOS application.
2. Information We Collect
Location Data
RadarCopter collects your precise location to detect nearby police helicopters within the supported coverage countries in Europe. Your location is sent to our servers in real-time only and is NOT permanently stored.
Device Identifier
We generate a unique device ID (UUID) stored in your device's Keychain. This is used for authentication and subscription management. It is NOT linked to your personal identity.
Consent Status
At app launch, Google's consent SDK may process approximate location derived from IP, performance data, and product interaction data to determine whether privacy choices are required. This does not load or show an ad.
Optional Rewarded Ads
When you choose to watch a rewarded ad, Google Mobile Ads may process your IP address (including to estimate general location), device or advertising identifiers, ads viewed, ad interactions, diagnostics, and performance data. RadarCopter does not request App Tracking Transparency permission and disables Google's optional publisher first-party ID. Ads are never shown automatically.

4. How We Use Your Information
- Location: To verify you're in a supported coverage country and show helicopters near your position
- Device ID: To authenticate API requests and verify subscription status
- Ad data: To serve and measure a rewarded ad only after you choose to watch one
5. Data Sharing
We do NOT sell your data.
Google processes ad-related data only when you choose the optional rewarded-ad flow, subject to your privacy choices.
We have NO partnerships with law enforcement.
Your data is only processed by:
- Our Servers: Process location in real-time (not stored)
- Apple: Manages subscriptions via StoreKit
- Google Mobile Ads: Provides optional rewarded ads and privacy-consent choices; see Google's Privacy Policy
6. Data Retention
- Location: NOT stored (real-time processing only)
- Device ID: Stored until you delete the app
- Subscription: Managed by Apple (we don't store)
- Ad data: Retained by Google under its own privacy and retention policies
7. Data Security
- HTTPS/TLS encryption for all communications
- Device ID stored in secure iOS Keychain
- No permanent storage of location data
8. Your Rights
Location Control
You can disable location at any time via iOS Settings. The app allows access to settings and subscriptions even without location.
Data Deletion
Delete the app to remove all data, or contact us at support@radarcopter.org
Subscription Management
Manage via iOS Settings → Subscriptions or apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions
9. Children's Privacy
Not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. Geographic Restrictions
Police-helicopter coverage is available in 26 supported European countries. Availability in any location depends on third-party aviation data and aircraft transponder visibility.
11. Changes to This Policy
Updates will be reflected with a new "Effective Date." Continued use after changes means acceptance.
